Financial Independence For Everyday People

This is the information that I needed years ago when I started looking for more time and less stress in my daily life.

I left a high-pressure job as a Vice President of Finance in Silicon Valley and desperately wanted guidance for making my money work as hard as I did. (Funny, how I couldn’t round the numbers in my checkbook up to the closest million like I did at work.) The good news is that I instinctively kept my break-even point low and captured seed capital. The bad news is that I didn’t know how to take the next step.

I wish that the personal financial information presented here had been part of my degrees in economics and finance, or my education to pass the CPA exam. However, as my first section is titled, it is time to Start Now and make the most of what we each have.

Be The CFO Of Your Financial Life

It takes a while to get used to thinking about disconnecting your income from your hours worked. Start by organizing your financial life around what makes you happy and keeping more of what you already earn. Allow yourself to practice finding and evaluating asset acquisition opportunities. Make sure that you understand the numbers, the market conditions, and the taxes before taking any action.

Just keep in mind that you are the one in charge. Be the CFO of your financial life. The concepts presented here are a framework for building your own, sustainable Business Model for Financial Independence.

And remember:

This isn’t really about money…

…it’s about time.
